Airport Enhancement Package (AEP)

The Airport Enhancement Package (AEP) by X-Codr Designs is a scenery addon for X-Plane. It enhances default airports with more detailed models, higher resolution textures, new technologies like PBR normalmaps, and regionalization.

Features

AEP replaces default airport elements with new developments. This includes airport buildings, facades, ground objects, static vehicles, as well as runway lights, beacons, and navigation aids.

All models are equipped with modern technology:

  • UHD textures between 2 and 4 pixels per inch
  • PBR normalmaps for details and reflections
  • LODs for good performance at high detail level

The models feature simple interiors for additional depth. The default airport vegetation has been replaced with new 3D vegetation.

The ground markings and pavements have been replaced with new textures. All ground textures are available in high resolution and feature PBR normalmaps. The markings have been revised and all ground textures support X-Plane 12's weather effects through "weather maps". Decals provide realistic patterns and avoid repetition.
